Wow, Massimiliano! I made that trip in 1981 and spent several days walking the ridge trail at the Valtavaara at night, but no Bluetails. The species is getting more common in Finland as a breeding bird?

Thanks Jan, actually I do not know because it was the first time I went in Lapland, we had a great local guide from Finnature, he knew the right places and we saw 3 different males, this one was very close to us showing very well!

With 300-1500 breeding pairs, bluetail is'nt that rare anymore.
