Last weekend, Pieter van Veelen and I spent some time on the beach of Schiermonnikoog with this Buff-breasted Sandpiper found by Lonnie Bregman and Wouter Monster the day before. We were lucky enough to have amazing views of this American vagrant and with the help of Pieter I was able to make these great pics. At some point the bird even came in too close for pics - quite an experience!
