Interesting record. Which is the nearest breeding place of the species?
Best regards.

OK, thanks. I know that the species is breeding in France and the southern area of England, but in the past it was present also in East Germany and even Holland. I think the extirpation as a breeding bird in Germany was some later than in Holland, or not?

Although Stone Curlew was extirpated in its last traditional realms in northern Germany in 1966 (Saxony-Anhalt, Elbe), 1968 (Lower Saxony, Lüneburger Heide) and 1976 (Brandenburg, Uckermark), there have been a few recent breeding pairs in Baden-Württemberg (Rhine Valley) (source: Atlas of German Breeding Birds).

Thanks, Jan.
I didn't know the recent breeding cases of Eurasian Stone-curlews in Germany. I'll check this.
Best regards.
